The Construction of the Evolution is a project I started to work with young people and bring light to social, political, and educational issues. We are in the beginning stages of this journey, but there will be more extensive additions in the future. It is our full intention to empower young people to voice their opinions and help develop change in cities across the globe. We will also begin to work with governments to reform policy that adversely affects the interests of their residents.

Facing Racism

Today the degrading of races is still alive as it has been many years ago. Racism According to UN International Conventions mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, color, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life. Although, many Americans want to believe that this crisis is over, it still exists maybe stronger than ever.

Whether we talk about the early years when the English colonists first settled in Virginia or the recent events that took place in a Jena High School in Jena, Louisiana. All we can see is a similar picture that we thought should have ended many years ago. Today we see a United States that is divided between doing what’s right and doing what we have accepted as right. A United States that is concerned more about empowering others before empowering themselves. And a United States that is concerned with fixing problems abroad before fixing the problems on the homeland. Although, we must secure and mend other nations to in turn secure ourselves. We need to take even greater actions to ensure peace and security in our own country simultaneously.

If you were to ask any white person do you believe or practice racism, many would answer no. And they would totally be answering the question honestly. But in today’s society every white person has been trained to feel some sort of superiority, fear, or separation from people of color. Although this is a fact in a number of cases it isn’t their fault. Racism hurt whites too. Despite the advantages that white people may seem to get as a result of racism, many white people are hurt by racism. With the United States becoming more diversified racism leads to a more disconnect from the majority of the world's population. It makes them feel a type of powerlessness freedom.

In order for us to end this issue: We need to understand as a people of the United States that the only way we would survive as a nation is by the collective efforts of all races. We must educate the youth about the past, but we must also teach them right from wrong. We need to address the issue of racism and not place it on the back burner. We need to past legislation that would punish anyone person or persons that take part in any activity that resemble racism. And we must sit at the table to discuss what the underlining issues regarding the degrading of different races. We need to dump this issue and live our lives making this nation we call America, a nation of under god with liberty and justice for all.
